Le Minigun FIA dispose d'une très grande cadence de tir avec une large zone d'attaque, le rendant idéal pour réduire à néant de grands groupes de cibles hostiles. Cette arme a besoin d'un court délai avant que le tir ne se déclenche, permettant au barillet de tourner à la vitesse requise. Le tir secondaire fait tourner le barillet sans que l'arme ne tire, permettant ainsi de se tenir prêt.
